Former New York Rangers forward and captain Ryan Callahan has landed a job with ESPN for the upcoming 2021-22 NHL season, the New York Post wrote in an article today.

Callahan last appeared in the NHL in 2018-19, suiting up for 52 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Since retiring, he has worked for both the NHL Network and NBC as an analyst, though his exact role with ESPN is yet to be determined. From the sounds of things, it will likely be a combination of studio and game assignments.

Callahan is a great addition to what is shaping up to be a panel of insiders and analysts for ESPN. The 36-year-old has a ton of experience in the game, having played in 757 games combined between the Rangers and the Lightning. In those 757 games, he managed 186 goals and 386 points.
